This morning was an early morning (I went to bed at 2:00am and woke up at 6:15am!) but fortunately I was able to fall back asleep until 9:30am! The first thing I did was peak out of my window to see if the market was set up, since it has been cancelled for the last three weeks. It was up and running! After getting dressed and grabbing breakfast, Carrie, Katherine, Ashley, Brenna, Kasy, Laura, and I walked to the market to do a little shopping! Well…a “little” shopping is an understatement because I stocked up on gifts for myself and others! Carrie and I had to take a break to bring our purchases home and to have lunch, then we went back out for more! I was very excited because I bought three paintings! One is huge and so pretty! It is yellow with three women painted on it carrying baskets on their heads! It is so bright and colorful! The other two paintings are black, white, and grays, which are a little more practical and can match with walls much better! I also was very excited to buy a plaque of a township, and the houses are made from the aluminum of pop cans! I have been looking at them since I have gotten here and I finally bought one! We spent a good chunk of our day at the market and showed off our purchases for each other! I packed my gifts into a duffle bag for my carry on and it all fits (barely). After everything was packed away, I worked on homework for the rest of the afternoon.
